Christmas is coming! Print off your wishlist for your family.

Believe it or not, Christmas will be here before you know it.  I've created a wishlist printable so you can fill out your wishes to leave lying around (in plain sight!) for your family to spoil you this year.  I'll even take care of the wrapping for them if you are local.  If you live out of town, but in Canada, I'll have the order shipped to your house for convenience. Orders must be in to me by December 8th, 2019.

Sketch Sunday - Sketch #2

This is Sketch #2. I like this sketch because you can whip a stack of these off really quickly.  The designer series paper is easy to cut in bulk and once you have a stack of DSP you just start sticking everything down. With the circle for the mat, it's so easy to punch them out with the Stampin' Up! punches.

Here is a recent card I made using this sketch. I did add a strip of ribbon to this card. I used the Woven Threads designer series paper and the Woven Heirlooms stamp set for the sentiment.

In the inside of this card I've added Happy Birthday, but you could easily use this sentiment for a wedding day or wedding shower as well.

Friday Freebie, on a Saturday! Fun Fold #1

I had this fun fold prepped to post yesterday and then all of my kids surprised me by coming home for the weekend. I knew that 1 was coming home, but the other 2 came as well.  A great surprise!

Here is my first fun fold to share with you, along with an example of how I used it.

The stamp set used in my sample card is a hostess set called New Wonders. It's #149426 and is $18.50 in the Annual Catalogue.

Sketch Sunday

Welcome to Sketch Sunday.  Every Sunday I plan to release a new, free sketch and also show an example of how I've used it recently.

Today's sketch is great for featuring some nice designer series paper. It makes for quick swap cards because it's so easy to put together once you've got the pieces cut.

Here is the first sketch:

I've included the measurements for you to make it as easy as possible.  The die cut shape can be anything, it can even be sprigs of leaves or flowers.

Here is the card that I made using this sketch:

We made this card in my September card class. It was the perfect sketch to show off this amazing Brightly Gleaming designer series paper, and the new Hammered Metal embossing folder that I used on copper foil paper. Here is the inside of the card showing more of the Christmas Gleaming stamp set sentiments.

Standard Card Mat Sizes

Welcome to Friday Freebie!  I've created this handy standard mat sizes sheet that you can print off and post in your craft room.  These sizes are pretty standard when you start with a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base.  I like to keep a laminated piece of cardstock in each size, with the dimensions written on it. That way I can place the mats and decide which size works best for my project. If you want this in a pdf file please email me at tanyaspapertrail@cogeco.ca.

Welcome to my blog!

Well, I decided to start a blog. Why? It's not because I like to write, or because I feel like I have a lot to say, but I do think I have things worthy of sharing. And, social media doesn't allow me to do it in a way that I would like. So, here we go!.

I've got lots of ideas, like; Friday Freebie - where I'll post instructions for a fun fold, or a useful resource. Sketch Sunday - where I'll post a card sketch, including measurements. 12 Days of Christmas - showcasing Christmas projects for 12 days. I'd love to post more often, but we'll see how dedicated I am to it. In the meantime, I'll just post projects I've completed.

I hope you'll bear with me as I learn the ins and outs of blogging!
